1. How can I apply?

Application for active and passive participation is only possible via Internet with the online application forms.


2. “Active” or “passive” participation? Which one is correct?

Active participants are only those who are the presenting authors!
Passive participants are all the others who are co-authors or who just want to visit the congress without presenting a work.
Every denied active applicant is allowed to apply for passive participation.


3. Is there a deadline for active participants?

Yes, and the deadline is 31th March 2006!


4. Is there a deadline for passive participants?

No! You can apply for passive participation until the beginning of the congress. But the congress fee will rise to 30,00 Euro because of organizational reasons!!!


5. I have applied for active participation. How do I know, if I'm accepted or rejected?

On 19th April 2006 we will send you E-Mail whether you are accepted or rejected to the address you gave us when applying for our congress.
Additionally we will send the official letters of invitation! In case you do not receive anything , please address a mail with your complete name in Latin letters (as written in your passport) to info@icmsbg.org


6. What is the fee and when do I have to pay it?

For foreign participants: 20.00 EUR [30 EUR on place]
For Bulgarian participants: 20.00 BGL


7. When do I have to pay the congress fee and all the other costs?

Till 31st March. See registration for further details


8. Can I apply for travel grants?

Unfortunately we cannot give any financial support to participants.


9. What should I do in case I get a new passport before the congress?

We can only take over the new passport number into our data base if you will send us a copy of your NEW PASSPORT by e-mail.


10. Is it possible to join the congress one day later?

You can come whenever you want unless it is off the congress date.


11. How do I know WHEN I will have to present my scientific work?

Please do frequently check the program on our homepage. Here you will find your session as well as the day and time of your presentation. Please make sure that you will arrive in Sofia on time because we cannot change the sessions.
Please also note that we cannot make any changes concerning the session in which you are to present your work. Our scientific jury made these decisions!


12. I registered as active participant but my abstract was denied. I would like to become a passive participant. What shall I do?

Register online as a passive participant again


13. Can you organise accommodation for me?

In case you are an accepted active or passive participant we will arrange accommodation for you.


14. How about Social program?

As every year we will organize a post congress tour. See news for further details


15. Where can I find the presentation guidelines?

You will receive the presentation guidelines with your Official Invitation Letter. Of course they can also be found at our website!


16. Can you change anything in my abstract, my name?

No, these data cannot be changed anymore. This will not be different in case you do write a mail! We will not make any exceptions!!! Never mind what you tell us in a mail!


17. I have other questions, what shall I do?

18. I am an active participant and have a friend who is passive. Can you book accommodation in the same youth hostel for us?

Write to Us and we will do our best!


19. Is the co-author of my abstract allowed to apply as active participant?

No, sorry, he is not! Co-authors are to apply for passive participation! Only the presenting author is registered for active participation!


20. How much does the accommodation cost?

Accommodation (About 10.00 EUR/night)


21. I did not receive the official letter of invitation? What shall I do?

If you are an active or passive participant: please contact info@icmsbg.com


22. Can I come before the congress/can I stay longer than the congress?

We can only invite you for the time of the congress. This means that we organize accommodation for active participants and passive participants. In other words: everybody can stay as long as he wishes to, but we don’t give invitation letters for other dates than the congress.


23. Can I register myself during the congress without online application?

YES! There is no deadline for passive application


24. I would prefer to present my data rather orally than as a poster-presentation (or the other way round)?

Sorry! Your abstract has to be presented as the Professor who reviewed it decided it. Thank you for understanding that we cannot change anything!
